The official
Studio Ghibli My Neighbor Totoro Perpetual Calendar (most notably the popular
“Ocarina Concert” diorama edition manufactured by Benelic) is
a collectible, three-dimensional manual calendar designed to track the date indefinitely. Instead of turning paper pages, users manually rotate and rearrange small blocks every day to update the month, date, and day of the week.
Key Features & Design
- Whimsical Diorama: The main sculpted base depicts Big Totoro, Medium Totoro, and Small Totoro joyfully sitting together atop a mossy forest tree trunk playing their ocarinas.
- Interactive Block Placement: The calendar includes interchangeable date cubes. These acrylic dice can be dynamically stacked on different sections of the diorama, such as along the tree trunk, nestled in the roots, or balanced directly on top of Medium Totoro’s head.
- Illustrated Story Blocks: Alongside the standard day, date, and month trackers, the set includes custom illustrated blocks featuring iconic characters or symbols from the film. These allow you to change up the display based on your daily mood or to create small visual stories.
- Premium Build: The intricate base is made from durable polyester resin and PVC, capturing the exact colors and expressions from the classic Studio Ghibli film.
Specifications
- Dimensions: Approximately W 72mm × H 140mm × D 65mm (2.8″ × 5.5″ × 2.6″).
