The Soul of Chogokin GX-31SP Voltes V CHOGOKIN 50th Ver. is
a special anniversary edition figure released by Bandai Tamashii Nations to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Chogokin line. Based heavily on the previous GX-31V model, this figure pays homage to vintage aesthetics while introducing several key paint and mechanical updates.
Key Features & Design Updates
- Premium Chrome Plating: The primary silver elements on the upper arms, abdomen, and thighs have been upgraded to premium silver chrome plating to honor the traditional superalloy look.
- Popinica Homage: A distinct white border has been added to the head of the Volt Cruiser to match the vintage Popinica toy line aesthetics.
- Anime-Accurate Coloring: The overall color scheme features a high-quality metallic finish adjusted to better mirror the original anime. The Volt Bomber’s forearms and elbows have also been changed to blue to match official settings.
- Updated Mechanical Joints: The attachment base for the Falcon/Hawk mechanism has been re-engineered with a new joint system, enabling more natural positioning when merging.
- Transformable Gimmicks: True to the classic configuration, the figure separates into its five individual vehicles (Volt Cruiser, Volt Bomber, Volt Panzer, Volt Frigate, and Volt Lander) and can also convert into the Voltes Heavy Tank form.
