Present Toys released a highly sought-after 1/6 scale Edward Scissorhands action figure featuring rooted hair (often compared closely with or alternative to the Art Figures Artisan Edition).
The official design and collector descriptions for the rooted hair version emphasize a realistic, premium approach to capturing Johnny Depp’s iconic, untamed look:
💇♂️ Rooted Hair & Head Sculpt Description
- Material & Technique: Moving away from standard plastic-sculpted pieces, the figure utilizes premium hair implantation (often using high-quality wool or synthetic fiber materials).
- The Style: It perfectly captures Edward’s signature wild, dark brown/black curly, and unkempt aesthetic. The rooted texture gives it natural depth and volume that lets light pass through realistically, completely bypassing the flat look of traditional plastic hair.
- Realism & Display: The strands are individually placed to replicate loose, stray fibers that frame the face. The head sculpt itself is finished with a highly detailed pale complexion, tragic facial contours, and sharp cinematic facial scarring.
📦 Key Figure Product Features
Beyond the standout rooted hair modification, high-end 1/6 scale figures of this character generally feature: [
1]
- Body: A specialized, ultra-slim 1/6 scale body standing approximately 34 cm tall with over 30 points of articulation to replicate Edward’s stiff, awkward posture.
- Hands: Intricately detailed, non-symmetrical, and flexible scissor-blade fingers painted with high-end metallic weathering.
- Costume: A complex patchwork outfit consisting of faux leather, microfiber, and fabric layers. It is heavily detailed with a “disorganized aesthetic” of metallic studs, functional tiny buckles, asymmetrical straps, and split-cut custom boots.
