The “Progress” 12-inch single vinyl was specially released as a limited edition to commemorate the 25th anniversary of Shikao Suga’s debut. It marks his first-ever analog record release.
“Progress” originally gained massive recognition as the iconic theme song for the NHK documentary program “Professional: Shigoto no Ryugi” (Professional: Work Style), performed by the supergroup kōkua—which consists of Shikao Suga, Satoshi Takebe, Hirokazu Ogura, Takamune Negishi, and Gota Yashiki.
This specific 12-inch vinyl release is a single-cut taken from his compilation album “Sugarless III” (released on December 22, 2021). The release utilizes a 180g heavy vinyl board and is cut at 45 RPM, offering a high-fidelity audio experience engineered with a strict focus on sound quality to celebrate his 15+ year history with the song.
The release is formatted as a 12-inch single with one track on each side:
- Side A: Progress
- Side B: Progress (Instrumental Version)
